Thus done and inventoried at Graaff Reinet this 18th day of January 1830 according to the declaration of Hendrina Magdalena Maartens widow of the late Francois Alewyn Smit who declared that to the best of her knowledge she has given up all the effects that belong to said estate with further promise should any thing be found afterwards, to add it to this inventory for all which she offered to make oath if required.

The said estate being appraised by Messr:s Francois Joubert and Petrus Francois Joubert in the presence of me the undersigned Agent to the Orphan Chamber and witnesses.
