Hendrik Petrus Jansen van Rensburg 
Hendrik was born on January 31st, 1780 in Tulbach and his baptism took place there on March 25th, 1780. Hendrik's father was David Jansen van Rensburg and his mother was Elsie Sophia Burger. His paternal grandparents were Hendrik Jansen van Rensburg and Anna Maria van der Merwe; his maternal grandparents were Barend Burger and Helena Smit. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Barend, David, Willem, Helena, Anna and Elsie. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 75 on August 5th, 1855 in "Vleiplaats", Middelburg, E.C..Death Notes

In his will dated 25th July, 1855 & signed at Vleyplaats, district Cradock. [on file] Names of farms mentioned in estate accounts: Sterkfontein and Lemoenkloof realised £2,858.5.0 and Groot Valley and Doornberg £1,981.3.3 Total amount for distribution was £6,481.12.11
