Lodewijk Knoop

Lodewijk was born about 1778 and his baptism took place on May 10th, 1778 in Cape Town, Cape Of Good Hope.  Lodewijk's father was Georg Knoop and his mother was Gesina Maartens.  His maternal grandparents were Lourens Maartens and Martha Visser. He had three brothers named Johannes, Christiaan and Marthinus.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Johan.
