Nicholas was born on September 27th, 1920 in Matatiele.  Nicholas' father is Nicolaas Francois Maartens and his mother is Anna (aNNIE) Catharina NN. He had two brothers and a sister, named Aubrey, Johnny and Connie.  He died at the age of 45 on February 14th, 1966 in Port Shepstone Hospital.  He was buried in Margate.
