Hugo Arthur Martens 
Hugo was born on August 9th, 1898 in Germany. Hugo's father was Carl Friedrich Martens (Ludwig) and his mother was Wilhelmina Bertha Marden. He was an only child. He died at the age of 70 on July 15th, 1969 in East London. He was cremated in EAST LONDON, Cambridge crematorium, Wall of Remembrance.General Notes
At the time of his second marriage they both lived in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town.
He left 100 pounds in his will to the German Lutheran Church in East London. Other beneficiaries include the SPCA as well as friends in Germany.
