Samuel Andries Eugene Martens 
Samuel was born about 1922. Samuel's father was Auvinus Martens and his mother was Elisabeth Johanna Sofia de Jager. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Jacobus Martens and Angenita Adendorff. He was an only child. He was adopted by Samuel Jacobus Martens & Elizabeth Susanna Prinsloo. He died about 1980 in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe.General Notes
Must have been adopted between 1925 when Auvinus died and 1929 when Samuel died. Indicated as child 7 on Samuel's death certificate.
I assume that this is the right person by virtue of the timelina as well as the A.Martens signatory. previously I only had his name as Eugene Martens.
According to his granddaughter Marie Elizabeth he does not appear to have been adopted. They emigrated to Rhodesia in 1947.
