George Mathews

George was born in 1861.  George's father was Charles Wheatley Mathews and his mother was Eliza Jane  Mathewson (Mary). He had six brothers and a sister, named Charles, Edward, Robert, Donald, Alfred, Lennie and Elizabeth.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died at 3 months old in 1861 in Colesberg.
