Johan Nicolaas Morgenthal

Johan was born on April 23rd, 1813 and his baptism took place on May 2nd, 1813 in Cape Town.  Johan's father was Johan Casper Morgendaal and his mother was Adriana Heger.  His paternal grandparents were Johan Casper Morgenthal and Petronella Margaretha Esselaar. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Johan, Johannes, Johanna, Anna and Jacoba.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
