Hercules Albertus Pretorius

Hercules was born on August 22nd, 1803 and his baptism took place on May 13th, 1804 in Graaff Reinet.  Hercules' father was Marthinus Wessel Pretorius and his mother was Susanna Elizabeth Viljoen.  His paternal grandparents were Johannes Pretorius and Johanna Bezuidenhout. He had a brother named Henning.  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother named Johannes.  He died at the age of 86 on September 25th, 1889 in Broederstroom.
