Abraham (Apie) Jacobus de Buys 
Abraham, known as Apie, was born on May 3rd, 1918. Apie's father was Albertus Johannus de Buys and his mother was Anna Magdalena Oosthuizen. His paternal grandparents were Alwyn Johannes de Buys and Aletta Barendina Beyleveld. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alwyn, Johannes, Albertus, Benjamin, Johanna, Alida Barendina and Johanna. He had a half-sister named Anna. He died at the age of 79 on September 10th, 1997 in Hofmeyr. He was buried on September 12th, 1997 in Hofmeyer.-
