Joseph Benjamin de Buys

Joseph was born on October 19th, 1872 in Cape Of Good Hope, South Africa.  Joseph's father was Albertus Johannes de Buys and his mother was Louisa Johanna Jacoba van Heerden.  His paternal grandparents were Coenraad Willem de Buys and Catharina Dorothea Meiring. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Coenraad, Alwyn, Albertus, Schalk, Johannes, Maria and Maria.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died from a heart attack, Joseph was found dead on the road from Germiston to Boksburg.  It was later determined that he died of a heart attack., at the age of 38 on August 14th, 1911.¹
