Jan Christoffel Adendorff 
Jan was born on April 8th, 1893. Jan's father was Hendrik (Harry) Jan Adendorff (Coenrad) and his mother was Maria Jacoba de Witt. His paternal grandparents were Johan Christoffel Adendorff and Maria Johanna Aveling. He had a brother and two sisters, named Louis, Johanna and Adeline. He was the oldest of the four children.-
