Jane (Janey) Lena Houston McMillan 
Jane, known as Janey, was born on January 31st, 1912 in Zwartberg, Natal. Janey's father was Alexander (Oupa Dad) Henry Houston McMillan and her mother was Louisa Maria Maartens. Her paternal grandparents were Donald (David, Doyi or Doy) Isla Houston McMillan and Jacoba Helena Van Whye; her maternal grandparents were Joachim Hendrik Maartens and Cornelia Herculina van Wyk. She had a brother and six sisters, named William, Flora, Lilian, Eunice, Enid, Nonie and Cloudy. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 61 on September 1st, 1973.General Notes
Born in Zwartberg and lived on a farm called Crystal Waters. She and Chris married and lived first in
Natal. She spoke English, Zulu and Afrikaans fluently. Later she and the family moved with Chris Deyzel and live"d for
various terms in Cape province, Orange Free State and Transvaal. Six children in family. Janey died in Johnnesburg
from cancer in late1973
