Johan Jacobus Martens (Adendorff) (John) 
Johan, known as John, was born on March 8th, 1887 and his baptism took place on May 1st, 1887. John's father was Samuel Jacobus Martens and his mother was Angenita Adendorff. His paternal grandparents were Cornelius Jacobus Martens and Victoria Liversage; his maternal grandparents were Johan Christoffel Adendorff and Maria Johanna Aveling. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Cornelius, Auvinus, Victor, Maria , Victoria, Louis(e) and Lina. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Samuel. He died at the age of 81 on February 4th, 1969.General Notes

Will dated 4th February, 1950 and signed at Plot 64 Benoni Small Farms, district Eshowe, Zuluand. In the estate Plot 122 was sold to P.J. Malan for R12,500.
