Marianne's father is Peter Martens and her mother is Jacqueline Suzanne Swanepoel. Her paternal grandparents are Eric Martens and Marianne Ulrike Schwietering; her maternal grandparents are nn Swanepoel and Anne-Marie NN. She has a sister named Elizabeth.General Notes
Our daughters are both musically talented – Elizabeth plays the violin and Marianne plays the piano – but I doubt that they would choose music as a profession - they have different interests from their parents. They are educated concertgoers though, and find student life at the Conserve fascinating.
