Anna was born about 1776. Anna's father was Marthinus Oosthuizen and her mother was Hester Cecilia Olivier. Her paternal grandparents were JanHendrikOosthuizen and Anna Botha. She had three brothers and a sister, named Ockert, Marthinus, Willem and Hester. She was the oldest of the five children.-
