We've seen some SPAM hit our website in recent times (even this morning) which has forced us to tighten security on martensfamily.co.za. We've employed a brilliant service called Mollom which is a prominent spam counter-measure!
It is being used by the likes of Twitter, The Economist, Thomson Reuters, Symantec, Sony, MIT and Stanford University amongst others.

We've also added a link on the menu on the right-hand side under "Interesting Bits" where you can view all past newsletters to see if you missed anything.
As you can see, we've made some changes to the existing menu structure on the right-hand side to accommodate for more information.
We've also added parts of the dairy entries of Anna Katherina Martens(Shroenn) that we received from Andrew Harty. Thank you Andrew! We've also added a link to a .pdf of a newspaper clipping of the "The Martens of Doornhoek" article also from Andrew.
We love hearing from all of you and sharing in the history of your family so please let those stories and info continue to come in!
We've added a new Gallery feature where you can easily view photos of other families from the Martens-clan and also post your own family photos! We're still busy working on making the gallery display more beautifully but it's fully operational now!
