Coert Grobbelaar

Coert was born on April 10th, 1794 and his christening took place on January 18th, 1795.  Coert's father was Johannes Jacobus Grobbelaar and his mother was Elizabeth Margaretha van Jaarsveld.  His paternal grandparents were Coert Grobbelaar and Louisa Pienaar. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Albertus, Jacobus, Willem, Elizabeth, Louisa, Rachel, Martha and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.
