Cecilia Maria Maartens 
Cecilia was born on August 30th, 1878 and her baptism took place on December 15th, 1878 in Barkley East. Cecilia's father was Paulus Johannes Maartens and her mother was Emmerentia Hester Johanna Reyneke. Her paternal grandparents were Joachim Hendrik Martens and Louisa Maria Grobbelaar; her maternal grandparents were Reyneke and NN. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named Joachim, Hermanus, Paul, Eva, Louisa, Emarens, Elizabeth, Jacoba, Susara, Martha and Catharina. She was the youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 73 on July 10th, 1952 in Harrismith.General Notes
