Jane Helen Maartens 
Jane was born on March 27th, 1890 in Hoopstad District and her baptism took place on May 4th, 1890 in Bultfontein. Jane's father was Joachim Hendrik Maartens and her mother was Catharina Magdalena van Wyngaardt. Her paternal grandparents were Albertus Stephanus Rudolf Martens and Jane Younger; her maternal grandparents were Johannes Petrus van Wijngaard and Johanna Susanna Loots (Elizabeth Magdalena). She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Albertus, Johannes, John, Jan, Matthys, Joachim, George, Johanna, Catharina and Anna. She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Pneumonia, at the age of 11 on December 15th, 1901 in Bloemfontein Concentration Camp.Death Notes
