Catharina Elizabeth Martens 
Catharina's father was Dewald Jozua Martens and her mother was Hester Cornelia Pretorius. Her paternal grandparents were Jozua Joachim Francois Martens and Anna Catharina Maria Pretorius; her maternal grandparents were Hercules Albertus Pretorius and Anna Elizabeth Schoombie. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Josua, Herculaas, Dewald, Jacobus, Marthinus, Anna, Anna and Hester. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died before 1883.General Notes
