Willem Johannes Jacobus Mathom

Willem was born on March 17th, 1928 in Smithfield and his baptism took place there on June 11th, 1928.  Willem's father was Jan George Mathom (Frederick) and his mother was Emerentia Hester Pienaar (Elizabeth).  His paternal grandparents were George Frederick Mathom and Anna Christina Small (Francina). He had two brothers and four sisters, named Pieter, George, Emerencia, Anna, Rachel and Martha.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 53 on September 4th, 1981 in Ficksburg.
