Albertus Wilhelmus Pretorius

Albertus was born in 1847.  Albertus' father was Henning Petrus Pretorius (Nicolaas) and his mother was Martha Johanna Muller.  His paternal grandparents were Marthinus Wessel Pretorius and Susanna Elizabeth Viljoen. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Diederik, Christiaan, Johannes, Ignaas, Koert, Martha and Susanna.  He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had seven half-brothers and a half-sister, named Marthinus, Barend, Henning, Hendrik, Andries, Johannes, Jacobus and Johanna.  He died at the age of 18 in 1865.
