Jacobus Johannes Pretorius

Jacobus was born in 1841.  Jacobus' father was Henning Petrus Pretorius (Nicolaas) and his mother was Johanna Christina Vorster.  His paternal grandparents were Marthinus Wessel Pretorius and Susanna Elizabeth Viljoen. He had six brothers and a sister, named Marthinus, Barend, Henning, Hendrik, Andries, Johannes and Johanna.  He was the youngest of the eight children. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Albertus, Diederik, Christiaan, Johannes, Ignaas, Koert, Martha and Susanna.  He died at the age of 24 in 1865.
