Gerrit Jacobus Koekemoer

Gerrit was born about 1749 and his baptism took place on October 27th, 1749 in Cape Town.  Gerrit's father was Diederik Koekemoer and his mother was Jacomina van Wyk.  His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Gerrit Arie van Wyk and Elizabeth Vivier. He had two brothers and a sister, named Diederik, Abraham and Maria.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers named Joachim, Jochem, Johannes and Godlieb.
