Adriaan Lourens Albertus Maartens 
Adriaan was born on December 3rd, 1892 in Rouxville. Adriaan's father was Louwrens Petrus Erasmus Maartens and his mother was Louisa Catharina Susanna Henning. His paternal grandparents were Hendrik Joachim Maartens and Elizabeth Magdalena van Jaarsveld; his maternal grandparents were Jan Hendrik Henning and Hester Elizabeth Hatting (Margaretha). He had eleven brothers and two sisters, named Hendrik, Jan, Lourens, Daniel, Louis, Abraham, Matthys, Nicolaas, Matthys, Pieter, Erasmus, Hester and Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 73 on January 2nd, 1966 in van Stadensrus, Wepener.Death Notes
