Zichrini, known as Zichrie, was born on August 31st, 1926. Zichrie's father was Willem (Oupa dad) Pieter Jacobus Maartens II and her mother was Hester (Ouma Nan) Johanna Snyman. Her paternal grandparents were Barend Nicolaas Stephanus Maartens and Susanna Catharina Janse van Rensburg; her maternal grandparents are nn Snyman and NN. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Rent, Jacobus, Will, Matie, Gerhardus, Janse, Fanie and Jacomina. She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Whooping cough, at 1 months old on October 16th, 1926 in "Nakomerin", dist Matatiele. She was buried in Nakomerin, dist Matatiele.General Notes
