Susanna Elisabeth Johanna Martens (Etresia) 
Susanna was born on January 22nd, 1838 in Middelburg and her baptism took place on April 16th, 1838 in Graaff Reinet. Susanna's father was Joachim Hendrik Martens and her mother was Louisa Maria Grobbelaar. Her paternal grandparents were Matthÿs Daniel Martens and Susanna Haarhof; her maternal grandparents were Johannes Jacobus Grobbelaar and Elizabeth Margaretha van Jaarsveld. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Matthys, Johannes, Hendrik, Albertus, Paulus, Choert, Willem Golden Fleece, Petrus, Nicolaas, Elizabeth, Susanna and Louisa. She was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 24 on March 27th, 1862 in "Vleiplaats", Middelburg, E.C..General Notes
