Louisa Maria Maartens (Lowisa Maria Klopper) 
Louisa was born on January 1st, 1878 in Barkley East and her baptism took place on April 7th, 1878 in Barkly East. Louisa's father was Willem (Willem Golden Fleece) Pieter Maartens and her mother was Catherina Aletta Jansen van Rensburg. Her paternal grandparents were Joachim Hendrik Martens and Louisa Maria Grobbelaar; her maternal grandparents were Barend Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg (Stephanus) and Martha Johanna van Straaten. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Willem, Barend, Joachim, Nicolaas, Pieter, Catharina and Martha. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died due to heart disease, Myocardial failure, at the age of 72 on April 16th, 1950 in Station Road, Matatiele. She was buried in Eastern Cape, MATATIELE, Public cemetery.General Notes
