Maria Cornelia Venter 
Maria was born on June 25th, 1839 in Fauresmith Distr., Kromdraai. Maria's father was Jacobus Johannes Venter and her mother was Anna Catharina Janse van Vuuren. Her paternal grandparents were Jan Adriaan Venter and Margaretha Johanna Louw; her maternal grandparents were Stephanus Petrus Janse van Vuuren and Cornelia Maria van der Merwe. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Stephanus, Jacobus, Sarel, Pieter, Margaretha, Anna, Hester, Adriana and Lettie. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Jan, Jan, Johannes, Petrus, Petronella, Martha and Hester. She died at the age of 58 on July 2nd, 1897 in Bloemfontein Distr., Elandsbult.-
